Ari Edmundson is a Lecturer in the Department of History and historian of modern Europe. Since 2018 he has taught and developed Human Contexts and Ethics curriculum for the Data Science Undergraduate Studies program at UC Berkeley.

Cathryn Carson she/they

Cathryn Carson is a historian of 20th/21st-century science and technology. Over the last decade and a half she has served in a range of leadership roles in UC Berkeley’s data science efforts, including co-leading the design team for its undergraduate curriculum. She currently chairs the UC Berkeley Department of History and co-leads the Human Technology Futures (HTF) group.

Daniel Roddy is a lecturer and historian of the Spanish-speaking world. He is the newest member of the Human Contexts and Ethics teaching team, joining in Fall 2023.
